Garmin Voice Installation Guide

Note: If you have trouble with downloading the voice file, we suggest first installing the Mozilla Firefox web browser here. It is free, easy to download & install and secure. If Firefox asks you to make it your default browser, select "no" (if you want to keep browsing the web with Internet Explorer after you have downloaded your Garmin voice).
If you attempt to download your file and receive the message "product already downloaded", please contact support@gps-creative.com with your order number to re-activate your download link.
Also please note: If you have a special downloading program installed on your computer, such as "getright", please uninstall it for best results in downloading your Garmin voice.
Step 1 - If you do not already have a ZIP file extraction program on your computer, please download Winrar here. It’s free and safe.
Step 2 - click on the download link provided in your confirmation of purchase email, it will take you directly to a screen that will look like this, please ensure to click the ’Save’ option, not the ’Run’ option now:
Step 3 - You will receive a ZIP file. Use Winrar or a similar program to Extract the file to your Desktop where you can locate it quickly (Please note that your Garmin is not plugged into your computer at this stage).
Step 4 - Once your download is complete and you have unzipped your file, the voice icon will appear on your computer. Now plug in your Garmin device.
Step 5 - Plug your Garmin into the computer using your USB cable then go to "My Computer" to see which driver the device appears on. (I.e. "E drive", "F drive " etc)
Step 6 - Download and Install the Garmin web updater and firmware (http://www8.garmin.com/support/agree.jsp?id=931) to ensure that the new voice will work on your device, unless your firmware is updated, the voice won’t appear on your Garmin.
Step 7 - Once you completed downloading and installing the latest firmware, keep the Nuvi plugged in, en double click on the downloaded voice file that you saved to your computer.
Step 8 - Once you double clicked on the file, choose the "Run" option. The program will start automatically.
Step 9 - On the first screen, please ensure that you choose the correct destination where you will send the voice to on your Garmin. The standard setting is set to your "E-drive/Voice", however, during step 4 above, you might find that your Garmin appears on different drive to the "E drive", so click on ’browse’, and choose the correct drive, then proceed to choose the ’Voice’ or ’Voices’ file on your Garmin.
Step 10 - Once you chose the correct driver to install to, simply click on next, agree to the user agreement and keep on following the prompts.
Step 11 - The program will close automatically once the installation is completed.
Step 12 - Unplug your Garmin, turn it off and on again.
Step 13 - Go to "Settings", choose "Voice" and select the newly installed voice to start receiving navigations from your newly purchases celeb and enjoy!
